Welcome to tigerland. The best location in the world to see tigers in the wild is Ranthambhore, and Sujan Sher Bagh, with the massive fortress that gives the reserve its name, standing magnificently at its centre, is the excellent starting point from which to explore this timeless jungle. 

One of the first members of Relais & Châteaux in India, you will find a magnificent wildlife haven with tents furnished in 19th-century ‘Campaign Style’ furniture and providing all the comforts you could wish for. Named for the star national wildcat of India, Sher Bagh conjures the nostalgic feelings of a bygone era while on safari in the height of art de vivre.

Experiences

Comfortable and stylish, the Ranthambhore safari experience is made richer and more engaging by the expertise and contagious enthusiasm of well-trained field personnel and guides. Sit around jungle campfires under starlit skies, with expert naturalists enjoying a page out of the Jungle Book.

Meticulously crafted menus combine traditional Indian feasts prepared in outdoor clay ovens with Anglo-Indian and European cuisine. The fresh culinary experience is greatly enhanced by succulent homegrown foods that are hand-selected from the organic herb and vegetable gardens at Sher Bagh Farm.

Comfort

12 tented suites, each a celebration of elegance, are outfitted with furniture and accessories built specifically for the campaign. Each Tented Jungle Suite has a new en suite bathroom with a brass bathtub and an open stone shower. Bask in your private verandah with its views of the surrounding canopy and untamed jungle grasses.
The Family Machhli Suite, which is located back from the main guest tents, is ideal for any family seeking some peace. There are two adjacent double tented jungle suites with their own verandas and private bathrooms.
