Nimaj

Nimaj is remote and breathtaking

Nimaj’s landscapes are made up of grasslands, scrub forests, and wetlands and are nestled in the Aravalli hills between Jaipur and Jodhpur.

In Nimaj and its surroundings, there are numerous ancient temples and mosques to explore. The temple complex at Ranakpur is a half-day trip highlight, and the world’s only Brahma Temple is just 100 kilometers away in the holy city of Pushkar.

Nimaj is located in the centre of Rajasthan

The region’s heart is Chhatra Sagar, a vast and abundant reservoir built by Thakur Chhatra Singh in the late nineteenth century.

His goal was to harvest the monsoon rains, and the reservoir quickly became a major source of agricultural opportunities for local farmers as well as a popular entertainment destination for visiting dignitaries and VIPs. Nowadays, the area is lush and green, with plenty of produce. The reservoir also attracts hundreds of different bird species as well as a variety of wildlife.

Visit the tribal settlements of shepherds and snake charmers in the region to get a sense of authentic rural life.
