Shimla - Himalayas

Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort

Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, occupies a cedar-covered ridge at Chharabra, above Shimla and close to Mashobra.

Set at approximately 2,515 metres within extensive forested grounds, it has the scale and atmosphere of a grand mountain estate. The property was once associated with Lord Kitchener, and its firelit interiors, library and period references retain a sense of retreat history.

As a Mashobra mountain retreat for Himalayan journeys, it encourages travellers to spend time in the landscape rather than treating the hotel as an overnight stop. The setting is especially suited to Himalayan holidays India itineraries that allow forest walks, restorative spa time and unhurried mountain views.

Why do we love Wildflower Hall ?

Wildflower Hall offers a genuine change of pace from Shimla. Cedar forest surrounds the property, and the elevated ridge setting creates long views across valleys and Himalayan ranges. The open-air whirlpool is an unforgettable expression of that location, while private spa cabins place treatments among the trees. Inside, fireplaces, timber panelling, a library and heritage details establish warmth without overwhelming the landscape.

We reserve Wildflower Hall within our Accommodation Collection for travellers who want the stay itself to become part of the journey. It can justify an additional night, particularly when walking, reading, spa time and the changing mountain light are valued as highly as formal sightseeing.

What can I look forward to?

Expect cedar forest, sweeping valley views, firelit interiors and an open-air whirlpool suspended above the landscape. Guided walks, spa cabins among the trees and thoughtful dining create an immersive retreat experience high above central Shimla.
