Another jewel from the Taj chain set in regal Rajastan\u2026the Taj Lake Palace, is a 18th Century Historic Palace built of local Rajnagar marble hauled in from Udaipur, and floats incredibly like a pristine cloud in the centre of Lake Pichola.\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\r\n

The Mewar Royal family utilised Jag Niwas, built between 1743 and 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, the 62nd custodian of the House of Mewar, as a summer hideaway for many years before Maharana Bhagwat Singh, Mewar of Udaipur converted it into this heritage hotel in 1963.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n
