After a quick morning excursion in Negombo, it is time to head out to one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. The city of Anuradhapura, founded in 377 BCE, is over 2,000 years old and full of historical and religious significance. Massive man-made lakes, towering dagobas, ancient ruins and vast paddy fields are some of the features dotted about the landscape that you will love visiting.
