Amangalla is located inside the walls of Sri Lanka’s UNESCO Heritage Site, Galle Fort, which dates to the 17th century.<\/h5>\r\n

Amangalla is named after the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’ and galla, the Sinhalese word for the town of Galle. The majestic Great Hall, or Zaal, as it was known in Dutch times, lies at one end of Amangalla. It is furnished with traditional seats and tables, crisp white linen, and antique silverware.
