Tientsin Bungalow – Tea Trails<\/h1>\r\n

Named in honour of the Chinese city from which the original tea seedling came, Tientsin Bungalow is amongst one of the first plantation bungalows to be built in the region.<\/h5>\r\n

Built in 1888, in the Bogawantalawa valley, its dignified character still stirs memories of yesteryear.<\/p>\r\n

Tea Trails is part of the Resplendent Ceylon \u201cbest of Sri Lanka\u201d circuit, a collection of five colonial-era tea planters’ bungalows created by the family-owned\u200b Dilmah Tea Company, and Tientsin is one of them. The other properties in this collection are Summerville Bungalow, Dunkeld Bungalow, Norwood Bungalow, and Castlereagh Bungalow. Tientsin bungalow offers accommodation in 6 large rooms namely Irvine Stewart Master Suite, Bretherton Garden Suite, Moir Garden Suite, Fraser Garden Suite, Bremer Luxury room and Meares Luxury room. Rooms are named after tea planters who lived in the bungalow. They offer a taste of heritage luxury with solid teak furnishings, antique touches, and plush beds.
