Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll
Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll – Deep Southern Reef Systems
Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll combines scale, depth and measured development.
Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, administratively designated as Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, lies approximately 420 kilometres south of Malé and comprises more than 90 islands, including around 10 resort islands alongside several inhabited communities. Characterised by expansive lagoon systems, deep channel passages and relatively low development density, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll forms part of the Maldives’ largest southern reef complex shaped by scale and marine continuity.
