Meemu Atoll
Meemu Atoll – Central Lagoons and Reef Depth
Meemu Atoll balances lagoon scale with structured outer reefs.
Meemu Atoll, administratively also designated as Meemu Atoll, lies approximately 130 kilometres south of Malé and comprises more than 30 islands, including a limited number of resort islands alongside several inhabited communities. Characterised by open lagoon basins, outer reef walls and measured development density, Meemu Atoll represents a central-southern reef system shaped by spatial separation and structured marine geography.
