Haa Alif Atoll
Haa Alif Atoll – Remote Northern Reef Systems
Haa Alif Atoll is defined by remoteness and low-density reef geography.
Haa Alif Atoll, administratively designated as Haa Alif Atoll, lies more than 300 kilometres north of Malé and comprises over 40 islands, including a small number of resort islands alongside several inhabited communities. Characterised by outer reef walls, broad lagoon systems and minimal development density, Haa Alif Atoll represents one of the Maldives’ most remote northern reef environments shaped by distance and environmental spacing.
